The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee issued a Flash Flood Warning for central Bay County, in the Florida Panhandle, at 10:41 a.m. EST (9:41 a.m. CST) on Nov. 1, 2026. The warning is in effect until 11:45 a.m. CST (12:45 p.m. EST).

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen, and flash flooding is already occurring, the warning says.

The warning lists these places as affected: Panama City, Lynn Haven, Callaway, Springfield, Hiland Park, Parker, Dirego Park, Cedar Grove, Millville, Bay Harbor and Magnolia Beach. It warns of flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses, and other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

The NWS advises: “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
