Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen, and flash flooding is already occurring, the warning says.

It warns of flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses, and other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
