Gulf Coast rip current alerts
The NWS Mobile issued a Rip Current Statement on October 23 for the Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa coasts and south Alabama, in effect until 7:00 p.m. CDT on October 26. Earlier NWS Tallahassee alerts covered Walton, Bay and Gulf counties, including a wind alert, a high rip current risk and a Small Craft Advisory on October 22.
