Interstate 10 has reopened in both directions between Exit 22 (Avalon Boulevard) and Exit 31 (State Road 87) after a brief closure caused by downed power transmission lines near the Garcon Point Road (Bagdad) exit, according to a Santa Rosa County notice posted Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 p.m.
The county said motorists should continue to use caution as traffic begins to flow again. The same notice said westbound lanes at Mile Marker 35 were still closed due to a vehicle fire.
