Fort Walton Beach Golf Club is owned and run by the City of Fort Walton Beach. It has two 18-hole courses, the Oaks and the Pines. As of Oct. 30, 2026, an annual membership costs $299 for city residents, $449 for other Okaloosa County residents and $599 for nonresidents, and members pay half the public green fee on any tee time, according to the club’s membership page, with rates effective Oct. 1, 2026.

Public green fees have no fixed price. The club uses dynamic pricing, so the rate changes with demand, weather and booking patterns, sometimes by the hour, and is locked in once the tee time is booked, according to the club’s rates page.

All memberships are billed once a year. Members can book tee times up to 15 days ahead, the club says. The membership page does not say whether a cart is included.

Is a membership worth it for a city resident?

It depends on how often you play. Members pay half the public rate, so a city resident comes out ahead once the half saved on green fees adds up to more than $299 in a year. Because public rates change daily, the number of rounds that takes depends on the days and times you play; the booking system shows the public rate for each tee time.

How do I book a tee time?

Tee times are booked online through the club’s Teesnap system at fwbgc.teesnap.net, with a valid credit card, according to the club. Two exceptions: juniors 17 and under, and same-day walk-ins who pay at the counter.

  • A no-show or a cancellation within 24 hours costs 50% of the reservation.
  • The club may waive the fee for a course closure or severe weather.
  • Public juniors get 50% off the dynamic rate without a membership.

The club is open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1955 Lewis Turner Blvd., Fort Walton Beach. The phone number is 850-833-9664.

Who runs Fort Walton Beach Golf Club?

The City of Fort Walton Beach lists the golf club as its own Golf Course Department, which it describes as newly established, with a golf course director, maintenance staff, a pro shop and the Clubhouse Grill, according to the City of Fort Walton Beach. The club describes the Pines as a parkland course through tall pines with rolling fairways, and the Oaks as a tighter, tree-lined layout with water hazards.

What other publicly owned golf is on the Emerald Coast?

Gator Lakes Golf Course at Hurlburt Field is an Air Force course open to military members, retirees, Defense Department employees and civilians with a visitor center golf pass, according to the Hurlburt Field Force Support Squadron. Eglin Air Force Base’s course is being leased to a private partner, according to Eglin Air Force Base.
