Laredo Street Closed Nov. 9-13 for Sidewalk Work in Santa Rosa County

Updated Nov. 7, 2026: Santa Rosa County has set the dates for the Laredo Street closure and published detour routes.

Laredo Street will be closed between Presidio Street and Granada Street in Santa Rosa County, Florida, starting Monday, Nov. 9, according to the county’s News Flash notice. The closure is expected to stay in place through Friday, Nov. 13, weather permitting. The work includes ditch regrading as part of the Laredo Street sidewalk project.

Residents will still have access to their homes during the closure. Drivers should use caution in the area.

The county lists these detours:

• West of the closure: Presidio Street to El Paseo Street to Granada Street to Laredo Street.
• East of the closure: Granada Street to El Paseo Street to Presidio Street to Laredo Street.

The county also posted a detour map.

The sidewalk project will extend sidewalks along Laredo Street from Highway 87 to Ortega Street. Funding comes in part from Area 3 Transportation Impact Fees, according to the county notice. The notice does not say when the full project will finish or whether work continues after Nov. 13.
