Waste Pro will not collect garbage, yard trash or recycling in Santa Rosa County on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, and every route runs one day behind for the rest of that week, according to the Waste Pro 2026 Santa Rosa holiday schedule. Saturday garbage pickup on Navarre Beach does not change. Florida state offices close both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27, while post offices close Thursday only.

That combination, a one-day trash delay and a two-day state holiday, is what most Santa Rosa households need to plan around Thanksgiving week.

When is trash picked up Thanksgiving week in Santa Rosa County?

Pickup is normal Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 23-25. There is no collection on Thursday, Nov. 26. From there, Waste Pro’s schedule says all services run one day behind for the rest of the week: Thursday routes are picked up Friday, Nov. 27, and Friday routes are picked up Saturday, Nov. 28.
